How do I install the unit in my teen's vehicle?
  
A:
It's easy. Just
mount the unit to a bracket or wiring harness under the dashboard with the included
zip-ties, plug the wiring
harness directly into your vehicle's onboard computer (ODBII
Port, located under the dash of all passenger cars and
trucks 1997 and newer), attach the combination GPS/Data
antenna to the windshield and you are done - no splicing
of wires necessary! However, if you prefer, your
local mechanic or audio shop can install the unit for you at a
reasonable price.
Q:
What if my vehicle is older than 1997?
A:
If your vehicle does not have an OBDII port we have a
universal unit (3 wire install) that gives you
everything but vehicle diagnostics - just let us know
when you order.
Q:
Can my teenager tamper with the system?
A:
Yes, of course they can tamper with the system, but it
will be obvious that they have done so when you notice a
gap in the data on your reports. Plus, we are
including a tube of "torque-seal" with every unit -
place it on the antenna and ODBII port connections
and you will easily see if any tampering has taken
place. Also, the blue torque-seal is a deterrent -
your teen driver will likely leave it alone.

What kind of maps and reports are available?
This "Speeding Report"
shows actual speeding incidents with map links to each
violation so you can see exactly where any speeding
violation occurred and discuss it with your teen driver.
